This Privacy Policy explains how Toolbot ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you visit toolbotusa.com or otherwise interact with us. We try to keep this short and plain; legal terms are footnoted only where necessary.

1. Who we are

Toolbot USA designs and 3D-prints field-grade tools for tile installers and finish carpenters. The website at toolbotusa.com is operated by us. For privacy questions, write to info@toolbotusa.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Email address — when you sign up to be notified about a launch or a specific product.
  • Name, email, and message — when you fill out the contact form. The selected topic ("Pro account," "Press," "Custom build," etc.) is also recorded so we can route the message internally.

Information collected automatically

At present this site does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or social embeds. Your browser still exchanges standard request data with our hosting provider (IP address, user-agent string, request timestamp) which is logged for security and diagnostics. If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will update this policy and disclose what it collects.

Information stored locally on your device

While the email signup forms are not yet wired to a service, addresses you submit are temporarily stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

3. How we use it

  • To send you launch notifications, pricing, and early-access information you specifically requested.
  • To respond to your contact-form messages and route them to the correct internal owner.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website itself.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for targeted advertising. We do not share it with data brokers.

4. Who we share it with

Today, we share your information with no one outside Toolbot. When we connect a third-party email service (e.g., a newsletter platform) or an analytics tool, we will:

  • Update this Privacy Policy to identify the provider and what it processes.
  • Choose providers that contractually agree to process data only on our behalf.
  • Honor unsubscribe requests promptly across both our records and the provider's.

We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) — and only the minimum necessary to comply.

5. How long we keep it

  • Email signups: until you unsubscribe, or 36 months of inactivity, whichever is first.
  • Contact-form submissions: 24 months after your inquiry is closed.
  • Hosting logs: typically 30–90 days, set by our hosting provider's defaults.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it's inaccurate.
  • Delete it.
  • Opt out of marketing email at any time (every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link once we wire up an email provider).
  • Lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator in your jurisdiction.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to deletion. EU/UK users have rights under the GDPR / UK-GDPR, including portability and the right to object. To exercise any of these, email info@toolbotusa.com with the subject line "Privacy request." We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and tracking

This site does not currently set tracking cookies. The browser functionality used (localStorage) is a similar technology; see Section 2. If we later add cookies for analytics, performance, or third-party integrations, we will update this section and — where required — present you with a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set.

8. Children's privacy

Toolbot is built for working tradespeople and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete the data.

9. International users

Toolbot USA operates from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. We apply the same protections to all users regardless of where you access from.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this policy as the business evolves — adding an email provider, an analytics tool, payments, etc. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change. If a change materially alters how we use information you've already given us, we'll notify subscribers by email before the change takes effect.

11. How to contact us

Privacy questions, data requests, or concerns: info@toolbotusa.com (subject line: "Privacy"). For everything else, the contact page is the right entry point.
